Originally from Birmingham, AL, Elise Mayfield moved to Chicago after graduating from the University of Mississippi with a B.F.A. in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Musical Theater. Since then she’s continued her artistic training at I.O., Second City, and The Artistic Home. Elise is currently pursuing a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts at Columbia College Chicago. When she’s not at work or school, she’s one eleventh of Brain Surgeon Theater, one half of improv duo Neighborhood Watch, and now one something of The Ruckus Theater. Some of Elise’s recent credits include Singer in And He Flew Over the Forest (Brain Surgeon Theater), Patty in The Gay American (The Ruckus Theater), Florida Devereaux in Florida Devereaux Does the Holidays (Brain Surgeon Theater), and Sophia in The Darkest Pit (Prop Thtr). On the rare occasion that she has an hour or two to spare, you can find Elise covered in flour and chocolate baking sweets and treats for the people she loves.
